Appointment types allow you to set up treatment note templates so you can have different questions for Initial, Follow Up, Report of Findings etc.
Step 1 - Create Custom Fields
Before creating appointment types, ensure to create your custom fields first. Custom fields are the areas you will type your information into. Click here to create your custom fields.
Step 2 - Create a new Appointment Type
After creating your custom fields, go to Content -> Appointment Types from the SimpleClinic menu.
The main content area will then show a list of existing appointment types along with the custom fields that have been linked to that appointment type.
To add a new appointment type click Create from the top right hand corner.
Step 3 - Name your Appointment Type
A side panel will open where you can enter an appointment type name and select the custom fields you want to include.
Enter a name for your appointment type, such as Initial Appointment.
Step 4 - Select the Custom Fields
Tick the custom fields you want to include in the appointment type.
To change the order of the fields, go to Content → Custom Fields and drag them into your preferred order. Click Save.
Your appointment type will now be available to use when creating Treatment Notes.
Step 5 - Create and New Treatment Note
Create a new treatment note by going to Patients -> Select a patient and click Create -> Treatment Note from the action bar.
Before the treatment note has been created you will need to select the appointment type from the drop down menu.

Once you select an appointment type, the list of custom fields shown in the main treatment note area will be filtered based on the selected appointment type. Continue to complete the treatment note as usual.
