A discovery call service is usually a FREE service. These steps below will cover off how to do this:
First, click Services in the left hand menu.
To add a new service, click the Add New button from the top right of the action bar. This will open the Add New Service modal.
The following information is required when creating a the discovery call. Required fields are indicated by the orange border:
- Service Name – The service name is required. This is what you would like to call the service in the diary creation. It will also be displayed to the client when they are booking.
- Category – The Service Category is used when determine which reminder or confirmation template to send to the client. You can link services to previous categories or create new ones by typing in a new category name. You can create a new category for "Discovery Call" or link it to your existing Initial category.
- User – This determines which practitioners calendar should be used when creating the event in the diary. This is also used by the front end booking to determine which practitioners calendar to check for availability. If you have multiple pracs offering this service, you will need create 1 service for every practitioner offering the service.
- Invoicing Details – You will need to click Add New Invoice Item -> OK -> Name: Discovery Call -> Category: Consultations -> Sell: $0 -> If you have the option for GST settings, click GST free. Even though the service is FREE, there still needs to be an invoice item so the invoice can display online. Without this, the service cannot be booked online.
- Duration minutes – This is the duration in minutes that the services take. This determines how long the diary will be blocked for when creating an event.
- Online Booking – this will exclude a service from showing in the online booking menu.
- Cancellation Notice - This will define the amount of hours require for cancelling an appointment. You can include this information within your messages by using the {{service.cancellation_hours}} merge and typing hours after the merge tag.
- Cancellation Amount - This will define the fee incurred for cancelling an appointment. You can include this information within your messages by using the {{service.cancellation_amount}} merge and typing $ before the merge tag.
